Two days before, we visited some friends living outside Paris … that afternoon, Mina was back at home and I had plans for the sexy french girl, one glamour bondage session. That’s strange : sometimes, I need several hours to find an idea to create a nice set and, other days, this idea comes easily.
As I told Mina while I was taking pictures, I had the feeling to shoot a good photo series. I had no doubt about it before : this yellow and warm lighting always worked … so could I do something wrong with one lovely woman like Mina ? I gave her some fine lingerie matching with the dark tones : white garter-belt and nylon stockings were perfect in these conditions !
We started with some pin-up shots before rope bondage : I used another method to bind her arms in the back and I loved the result. So, I continued doing some strict ties for Mina’s breast : I didn’t want a symmetrical ropework so I only compressed one of her boobs … be sure it was really tight, in the spirit of kinbaku : I had to pinch Mina several times adjusting my ropes.
After those arms and tits, I took her garter-belt and g-string off … in the beginning, I wanted to shoot the whole series with the stockings only but I changed my plans adding a first part with the full lingerie set (except the bra) : it was a better to use this beautiful garter-belt and slowly going into kinbaku.
Mina took some erotic postures before to be completely immobilized : I tied her knees and legs together and linked them to the breast ropes. Mina was unable to move and I increased her feeling by adding one rope around her eyes … I even gagged with a scarf.
As a bonus, I shot some images after Mina has been untied : you should love the ropemarks and my last pictures ! Nowadays, I am still proud of this sensual kinbaku session, we had a nice time together and the result was really good.

Finally, Mina is back on Captive Culture eight years after the shutdown of my website : I had to begin the repost of her sessions with our best photo series together … one of my all-time favorites !
Mina is a face that will have lit up Captive Culture for 6 years from our first time in 2004, December 07 to her last session on 2010, October 29. When she decided to stop modeling, Mina informed me several months before & we got the time shooting a little bit more …
I knew it would be difficult without her beside me : after a decade with my models, many of them left the spotlights but my own dynamic changed. I was feeling tired & had less desire to start again the process of welcoming one girl & helping her to learn how to model.
Through the years, Mina became more confident : she has always been lovely but really evolved in front of the lens, not only mine … Mina collaborated with some other photographers, but I have been one privileged witness of her journey as a model. We did a lot of sessions together, shooting regularly when she was able to travel to Paris before living in the city.
Mina came for several days when we shot this photo series 328-01 on 2009, June 02 : we planned two sessions matching with her own planning. Mina had one fetish party on Saturday night and arrived the next morning : we took my car to visit my friends Diane & Steven for a cool afternoon in their house. I tied & shot Mina but we chilled more than expected.
Two days later, I had the desire to do more with her choosing my yellow light to create an intimate atmosphere. You know this shooting configuration that I used several times : Anaïs was the first in 2006 before Amélie in 2008. Between these years, Mina did one session without my sofa : that day, she had the best set-up & we were going to do this photo series, better & stronger than the previous ones.
I thought it would be a good idea to use this white garter-belt & nylon stockings for a better contrast with the brown leather. That’s the lingerie set worn by Anaïs for our photo series 287-01 : there was no bra available when I bought this set, as explained in my commentary. It wasn’t an issue here because I had already one creative ropework in mind. Because Mina has always been a rope lover, I could tie her breast even tighter, exploring another way to please her taste for constraint.
Before the ropes, we shot some pin-up pics, Mina was amazing on several ones … 8228 is among my favorites : her attitude shows her evolution as a model but also as a woman. When I met Mina, she was still searching for her style at 22, year after year, the young girl became an iconic version of her natural beauty.
We became closer working together without any assistant and my work changed & evolved because Mina was one priceless source of inspiration. I was feeling happy to create without any restriction : that day, we were in a very nice mood and everything was so easy, almost relaxing.
Both of us enjoyed this intimate session creating our pictures between each stage of the ropework. I really like the transparency effect of the nylon and lace which allows you to see the star-shaped tattoos on Mina’s body. After a while, the idea went to release her stockings from the suspenders : we took a few shots before Mina left her panties.
I thought that Mina would be even more sensual naked and tied, her legs still covered in nylon … this vision is possibly related to my memories as french teenager discovering Mylene Farmer in the video clip Libertine (1986) : there was a love scene ending with the french singer layed down on a bed, naked & shot from the top, wearing her white stockings only.
It was totally unconscious, I thought about it while writing this comment … there are many of these visual & sexual emotions in my photography. Anyway, the picture of Mina lying down on my sofa, from behind, with her bare buttocks is one of my most beautiful shots.
Even though Mina had no problem showing herself, I chose not to focus on her intimacy even if a particular pose allowed it, a slightly shifted view angle seemed more in the spirit of our sensual kinbaku session. After her breast, I dressed the eyes of Mina with my ropes : this improvised but effective blindfold was completed with one black & white scarf as a gag.
It’s quite rare in my universe but I got the feeling this piece of tissue would add some contrast to our scene, if I have had another pair of these beautiful stockings in my collection, I would probably have used the ones Mina wore to fill and seal her pretty mouth, risking to damage the nylon with her lipstick and some drooling.
As you will notice after her release from the ropes, those marks on Mina are splendid (especially the right breast) & totally in the spirit of kinbaku … we have immortalized this temporary body modification in our final images, suggesting some caresses as her reward.

So, if this photo series is visually & technically one of my favorites, the mood & how we shared our love for rope bondage together remains in my mind. I did many sessions with Mina but the result has never been so accomplished even if we lived some intense moments previously, even in our early years.
Throughout our collaboration, I have experienced the satisfaction of a genuine exchange through a life journey strewn with pitfalls … whether working on her website or talking about her personal struggles, this kindness went far beyond a charming beauty. I miss her positive energy and the desire to explore so many fantasies, without forgetting that smile present at all times.
After one year of transition in 2008, 2009 has been full of good vibes even if we had to face the bad surprise related to Graziella : from every bad thing comes a lesson to be learned … when she didn’t come to the photo session scheduled with Mina, I stopped to look for an assistant and decided to manage my shooting alone like for the websites.
It allowed me to be more connected with the girls who wanted to be tied & shot by the man behind Captive Culture. Since the beginning, or almost, I thought one team was necessary to work better with my models : Dana, Anaïs, Alain helped a lot but when they stopped, I understood this production tool could take me away from the essential.
Some women needed one special link with the photographer & even more when they are tied, exploring a personal way or secret fantasy. However, when I shot Mina for this amazing photo series, my mind was clear & full of ideas : several weeks before, I tried my beyond the lights concept with Clara who was the first french girl to experience it.
I also decided to shoot more latex restraint & heavy rubber after one session with Amélie on 2009, May 23, a few days before the arrival of Mina. Browsing my email archives for more details related to this photo series, I noticed we exchanged several messages with Amélie about the size of her S10 gas mask : it wasn’t long before I found one for my collection.
One precious item that we used for the last shooting day with Mina in 2010 … another archive which will be reposted soon on this blog.
