Second rope session for Miss Eskarina : it was time for strict ties going deeper in the shibari experience. She discovered bondage one year before : a simple ropework for her first time.
My websites and the Shibari School project generated a lot of work : I didn’t contact my model for months and she did the same. One day, I got an email from Eskarina explaining she would like to do another session : it was a nice idea because I had the same desire.
She asked for another shibari time and when she arrived at home, Eskarina told me we could try some strict ties. I had the nice surprise to see my model comfortable in my ropes … of course, she had to manage her breath but she didn’t complain about it.
I love when a girl asking for ropes is able to understand this situation implies a pinch of pain. Eskarina took the right way. Like this, I have been able to build a complicated and creative ropework. If you liked the photo series previously done with Anaïs then Angelina using the same setup, you should love this one too.
We did two different positions plus a small bonus in the end adding more knots to the crotch rope. We had a very nice day together and my photography is what I like : the color harmony is good and my model looks happy with those ties.
Last but not least, I found how to get some natural attitudes from Eskarina without speaking all the time. I simply turned the music on and it worked nicely … if you watch the whole set, you can see Eskarina moving between our shots !

I explored my email archives to find more details about that day but we were probably exchanging on facebook. We didn’t prepare our photo series before, Eskarina was spontaneous and we had only her outfit to choose. For the record, the period is when I began to sell part of my collection due to financial difficulties : subscription sales had been declining on my sites for several years already.
That week, we discussed with Suzy to plan her first trip to Paris : the date of October 22 was set as the starting point of our shared adventure. The day before, I met Miss Emrod who had come for her first session : a very pleasant afternoon focused on japanese bondage and the desires of this young woman that I discovered while tying up her body … I really enjoyed playing with her chest, more generous than my usual models.
If I knew my afternoon with Eskarina would be different, I was happy to see her again in my house, one year after our last session together. She was bound dressed with a kimono : we thought another asian outfit would be perfect for the strict ties requested by my model. I like these silk pants, shiny and comfy … the style of the upper part is less sexy but Eskarina would feel good wearing it. I shot Dana then Amélie in this outfit, each one was bound in several positions and that’s what we needed that day.
My model was happy to show off her left arm tattoo … the peony motif had personal meaning for Eskarina who dug into body art. No shoes for this session : I wanted to focus my ropework on her barefoot. If you want to know more about Eskarina, the commentary related to our photo series 310-01 contains many details which are useful for understanding how she discovered this universe which was far away from her nature.
Miss Eskarina often used the phrase “stepping out of my comfort zone” about our sessions which were kind of a liberating breath in her daily routine. When she mentioned a wish to try strict ties arriving at home, it was clear the 32 YO woman evolved slightly since her first time in ropes. We talked a lot together before turning my spotlights on … the first picture was shot at 16H47 and the last one at 18H57 : it means we took all our time to make her experience enjoyable.
Words were important for Eskarina and I liked to exchange with her … we never stopped during our sessions and this one was different. She was going to be bound alone, there was no assistant like her first time : of course, she knew me now but it was important to keep us in a positive mood. I maintained a natural smile and a jovial atmosphere to relax my model as much as possible.
That’s why I also added some energizing music in the background : my limited knowledge about Eskarina prompted me to avoid any sexual tension in our rope play. If my model felt ready to be tied up in a more restrictive way, I wasn’t sure how she could react once any escape would be impossible.
Being restrained was like a pleasant game, perhaps more so, but a woman like Eskarina didn’t reveal her secret thoughts. Her spontaneous smile hid the shyness she fought but I couldn’t determine the nature of her feelings while she was tied up. My session with Miss Emrod was totally different but I knew how to appreciate all the desires and each model explored the situation in her own way.
The day before, I played with a younger woman who just met me : she was shy but being bound totally disinhibited her … there was no music, less light & much more kink in the basement. Miss Emrod expressed herself at each stage of our game, revealing a penchant for certain intimate practices. We were far from all this with Eskarina but each moment holds its own beauty.
What a young girl allowed herself, an older woman would not reveal to a man outside of her private life. I have already touched on this complex subject in some previous commentaries, using the term “encryption” in the relationship between photographer and model (cf. my video ponygirl 02 + photo series 369-02) … Eskarina agreed to explore the fetish universe, it was enough for me and I never tried to discover her motivation : when a model wanted to talk about herself, it was an additional sign of trust but asking has never been my way.
We were almost of the same generation and I know that french girls born in the 70s had more psychological barriers regarding their intimacy. There are, of course, variables related to social origin and our family education. I was five years older and my adolescence was marked by the appearance of AIDS which reduced our freedom with regard to sexuality.
As an adult photographer, I have noticed an evolution of morals among my models according to their year of birth. When this date moves away from 1980, they are freer concerning their desires … the way of assuming and expressing certain practices is notably greater among the women I have tied up. This freedom with regard to their sexuality follows the evolution of french society but also the influence of the media sphere, even more so after the internet revolution.
Without this window onto the passion of pioneers, many women would not have explored their own desires through photography. A model like Miss Eskarina would have turned away from a classic production : my universe, combining aesthetics and fantasies, offered an alternative suited to those who wanted to touch on a desire without exposing themselves too much.
This approach could take many forms : curiosity often led to discovery. Every woman who steps in front of a lens knows this unique feeling. The experience is unique to the model and varies depending on the limits she sets for herself. Some reveal themselves more than others, depending on a mechanism that is both complex and indefinable.
Trust is essential, and balance is fragile : the bond between a model and the photographer often makes the difference. From my suggestion to pose in latex to her request to try my ropes, Eskarina’s evolution was smooth … if she came back that day, a year after her first time, it’s because the experience stimulated her mind. I was there to complete what we started : my ropework wouldn’t be simplified like during this initial discovery.
My model asked for a strict ropework that she had seen on Mina : I tied her arms & chest taking some pics to let Eskarina tame the constraint. Then came another rope building a kind of canvas in her back : this length also tightened the ties around her breast … it worked nicely and you can even guess her nipples under the fine silk on #2558.
She discovered the reduction in breathing capacity due to these ropes around her torso and the position of her arms blocked backwards. A new sensation for Eskarina, one that other captives had described to me. Modulating one’s breathing is necessary : relaxing allows the body to get used to this pressure.
You should have a look to my picture #054 in the classic version : Eskarina’s attitude leaves no doubt about her feelings after changing position, the effort produced by this movement makes her stick out her tongue to capture more air. She was not trained for this new constraint but her ability to manage the situation pleasantly surprised me.
As often happens, I threw out a few words to distract her and avoid being focused on the discomfort. If a girl is able to control her body while tied up, the sensations are better, even relaxing. Any bondage session involves an increasing constraint but also physical exertion depending on the duration. I wasn’t sure Eskarina was emotionally involved enough to handle the relative loss of control and the mild pain that sets in over time.
That’s why I limited this restrictive position to 30 minutes even if my model didn’t complain all along. Her state of mind was positive and it was cool to see Eskarina feeling so good : she observed the ropemarks with a nice smile (picture #2618) … I sensed her playful mood, enough so that I invited her to try a crotch rope. Her waist was cinched before a tie with two or three knots slipped over those silky pants.
I like her determined look in photo #2625 which contrasts with her mischievous attitude when she hides the rope that might tease her crotch. No need to say, it was another discovery for Eskarina who was clearly curious to experience this shibari session without limiting herself to new sensations. I think interesting this rope is hidden and almost forgotten in the second position, which focuses on binding Eskarina’s limbs.
As if the pressure exerted on her intimacy exists only to be felt by the one whose thoughts we would like to know. Didn’t she want to step out of her comfort zone ? Did those well-placed knots pique her curiosity ? The answer is up to her … beyond that question, I distracted and amused Eskarina by tying her feet, much like the first time. She had enjoyed being bound cross-legged : I opted for a variation with one leg reaching toward the ground without touching it.
Her left foot was immobilized in a restrictive manner to add a dose of discomfort to the position … her right leg was blocked at various points, as was her foot, which has been immobilized with a rope between each toe. As you can see in photo #2637, Eskarina was also tied at the wrists and forearms. I then added a length to tie her hands up along her torso to accentuate the constraint.
Watching this session, you will understand that several images could have been published as BTS … I changed my way to share it after 2008 including those spontaneous shots in the set. I really like #2665 for the natural side brought by Eskarina’s attitude with her tongue moving out while she tried to escape from my ropes.
It was always nice to let the girls play with these intricate ties : as expected, my model has been able to release her fingers and toes but she quickly understood some help was needed for more freedom. I captured a few nice shots when the french woman watched her skin printed by my ropes : don’t you like Miss Eskarina in the picture #2738 ?
We probably talked a bit about the knots on her crotch because our last few photos sound like a short demonstration to show the effect felt when the rope is more tightened. This position with her wrists tied in the back was a way to let Eskarina increase the pressure by herself, avoiding to put a strict tension at first. I think she got a pretty good overview of the desired effect in photo #2775 … there are many games to explore around this idea and you only need one length of rope and some well-placed knots.
I like when the session ends with the smile of my partner : that afternoon, my model brought a beautiful energy for her come-back in the ropes. Miss Eskarina wanted to try my strict ties and she did it nicely : her natural charm perfectly defines what a lovely woman is.

The next year, we did four photo series focused on rope bondage : Eskarina continued her exploration of the games I could propose to her body & mind. From the bedroom to one suspension, she has also been tied in my garden and posed scantily clad on the sofa. I had the good idea to organize a duo session with Suzy … Miss Eskarina enjoyed being the dominant woman : she trained the submissive girl who fantasized about this role.
One photo series that I will bring back to Captive Culture soon. My health issues forced me to slow down the updates rhythm but it’s still one priority for me.
