Back in 2005, that day, we started shooting a photo series for Latex Culture before moving upstairs. I used to play with every room of my small house, and we finished in the bedroom. I planned to shoot a full-length video with Diva. She had already done some short sequences with another girl, but it was her first time alone in front of the lens.
This time, we needed to create a movie for the members, and I worked to find the right way to do it. We used a simple and classic storyline : Diva starts by tying her ankles to the bed with a length of jute rope before locking her hands behind her with some cuffs. She enjoys the situation for a while before realizing that there is no escape. Fortunately, she manages to use her cell phone to ask for help. As you can guess, instead of completely releasing her, I decided to bind her more strictly.
In the preview picture, you can see how I tied her wrists to the bed structure before spreading her legs. Such a classic position for a bedroom bondage situation : Diva was nicely exposed like this … then, I had all the time to tease her with some tickling and record the scene. We captured it on video to avoid any camera noise in the background. I also made that choice to show Diva as she was in real life, more natural and spontaneous than during our photo sessions.
I had no assistant that day, and since we were together, I thought it helped her stay more focused on the situation instead of her attitude. She didn’t have to model in front of the camera, she was only there to live the experience. I changed her position for the last part and brought more ropes. I tied her arms in the back : Diva slowly ended up hogtied on the bed.
Because I liked the result & found the contrast with those satin sheets really interesting, I took my camera to capture several behind the scenes pictures that my members appreciated as a bonus feature. Back to the video now : Diva enjoyed the hogtie position for several minutes and got more tickling before I untied her. I think you know the essentials about this movie now.

This bedroom video with Diva marked one step in our collaboration. After almost a year of shooting together, I felt that Diva had reached another level in her journey in my universe. Reflecting on this video now, I can’t help but draw a parallel with her last bondage session with me, which also took place in the bedroom.
When Diva first arrived in front of my lens, she was like a rough diamond. Over time, I saw her grow & learn how to be a better model, willing to explore the boundaries of our work together. The bedroom video we shot in 2005 captured her when she was still exploring new things in front of the camera.
By the time of her final session, Diva had grown more comfortable with the ropes but she had no deep love for bondage. This last session was a bit like her bedroom video but the state of mind was different. Diva had become more aware of her strengths, more in tune with what she wanted to achieve. Her interests were shifting but I didn’t catch that she was ready to leave the world of bondage.
In both sessions, the bedroom was a stage for Diva’s journey … she experienced the balance of control and vulnerability on video, embracing the role I had envisioned for her. It was an old school situation focused on glamour bondage : the atmosphere was playful and she was stimulated by the camcorder.
2005 had been one year full of evolution : more japanese bondage after one intense week with Dana & Rachel, some french kisses between Anaïs & Mina … several major changes in my universe. Diva has been one witness of this revolution. A few days before we shot this video, Dana & I decided she would stop being my assistant.
I thought about Diva to assume this role but it didn’t work : Anaïs replaced Dana as my right hand & main model. So, I can understand why Diva started to think about herself : she wanted to become a burlesque performer since a while & my work as fetish photographer wasn’t enough for the young woman facing more ropes & less glam sessions.
Three months later, bound & naked on my bed, the sweet memories of our playful video were fading away : Diva was ready to leave my universe … Dana probably thought about the good old time too but the story ended simultaneously for each one. Both of them didn’t want to go further or break more limits.
Like many websites then, Captive Culture followed this evolution of the internet, becoming always more explicit. I tried to find the right balance for my models but the loss of these figures made me think a lot … sorry if my commentary is a bit serious but the human adventure behind our sessions is also made of this.
